After over a year of keeping quiet, Saber Interactive and Universal Products & Experiences released a new Behind the Scenes Featurette showing some early footage of the upcoming single-player action-adventure game, Jurassic Park: Survival.
As seen in the video below, the Behind the Scenes Featurette for Jurassic Park: Survival shows how developer Saber Interactive is collaborating with NBCUniversal to create an authentic and immersive experience that Jurassic Park fans will enjoy. As this is set the day after the Isla Nublar incident from the first film, it features many of the same locations fans will know and love, as well as other never-before-seen areas.
“The chance to take fans back to the original Jurassic Park to explore firsthand is one that’s been years in the making,” reads a statement from Saber Interactive and Universal. “Developer and publisher Saber Interactive has worked meticulously with the team at NBCUniversal to recreate the many wonders and dangers of Isla Nublar down to the finest details. Fans can look forward to visiting Jurassic Park’s most iconic locations, as well as discovering new landmarks and surprises never seen before.”
In Jurassic Park: Survival, players will become Dr. Maya Joshi (played by Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist who didn’t escape with Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Ian Malcom, and the rest of the survivors. However, she also didn’t meet the same fate as her InGen associates, like Dennis Nedry and John Arnold. Joshi will have to explore Isla Nublar and evade the prehistoric predators, like the velociraptors and the T-Rex, in order to survive.
A release date for Jurassic Park: Survival has yet to be announced. However, when it does inevitably release, it will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is available to wishlist now.
