First Steps Runtime Is Surprisingly Short

The Fantastic Four runtime has finally been set, and the upcoming MCU movie is set to be a bit shorter than previously anticipated.

According to listings of the movie that are up now on AMC’s website, The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ runtime looks to be 115 minutes, or 1 hour and 55 minutes. The total runtime clocks in 20 minutes under what previous reports suggested the movie would be, with earlier rumors pointing to a potential 2 hour and 10 minute movie.

The cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The film also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025. It has been confirmed that Pascal, Kirby, Quinn, and Moss-Bachrach will all return for Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in December 2026.
