Domino’s has announced that its franchise-owned store located at 106 S Main St. in Austin has earned the company’s prestigious OMEGA Challenge Award for operational excellence.
Domino’s OMEGA Challenge rewards stores that demonstrate the highest level of operational excellence across four pillars: order counts, estimated average delivery time, food safety and the operations assessment. Domino’s in Austin has excelled in service times, often delivering top 10 performance in its region.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have finally won Domino’s OMEGA Challenge,” said Marty Gritz, Domino’s franchise owner in Austin. “It is a testament to our dedication towards maintaining outstanding store operations and customer satisfaction. Our goal is always to make great-tasting pizza and deliver fantastic service, without taking shortcuts. I’m so proud of the store’s
general manager Dillon Underdahl, for all of his hard work and team building.”
Gritz began his Domino’s career as a delivery driver in 1988 in Maryland and worked his way up and became a franchisee in Mason City, Iowa, in 2005. In 2008, he acquired the Domino’s store location in Austin.
“It is no easy feat to win the OMEGA Challenge,” said Frank Garrido, Domino’s executive vice president — chief restaurant officer. “This recognition is only achieved by the top 2% of Domino’s stores in the U.S. Our hats go off to Dillon, Marty and their team members in Austin for their commitment towards running exceptional operations. Domino’s in Austin is
truly a best-in-class store.”
As a winner of the OMEGA Challenge, Underdahl can choose to receive an OMEGA Speedmaster 38 mm watch, an OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional watch or a cash award of $2,000.
Domino’s has a longstanding history of running an operational excellence challenge, as it originally began in 1977 to reward high achieving stores.
