The pan-European Stoxx 600 was down 0.5% toward the start of trade, with most sectors and major bourses trading in the red. Retail stocks led losses, followed by oil and gas stocks. Banking stocks were also down.

In bond market, The yield on 10-year Treasuries was up more than four basis point to 3.68%.
Germany’s 10-year yield was up more than two basis point to 2.47%.
Britain’s 10-year yield was up more than three basis point to 3.51%.
